To celebrate the end of the Olympics I decided to do the Olympic book tag. This tag was created by RJ from The Secret Stacks. This is the link to his video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BK_18_AwMcE

  1. The Opening Ceremony: What book did you think had an incredible opening?                I don’t want to say one of the books from my top 5 favorite first sentences post because I already recommended those books. I will have to go with Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas because I thought the opening was a great start to the series. “After a year of slavery in the Salt Mines of Endovier, Celaena Sardothien was accustomed to being escorted everywhere in shackles and at sword-point.”
  2. The Games: What is your favorite fictional competition?                                                         I honestly have to go with The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins because it contained what I think was the best fictional competition in a book.
  3. The Original: The modern games are based on the original Greek competition. What is your favorite book based on a classic?                                                                                          I am going to say the Lunar Chronicles because all of the books in the series are based off of fairy tales. If I had to pick just one of the books in the series I would have to say Cress by Marissa Meyer specifically because that was my favorite book in the series.
  4. The Eternal Flame: What is one ship that you won’t let die, even when the books made it clear it was never going to happen?                                                                                   I want to say Celaena and Dorian but I don’t want to repeat a book. So instead I will say Puck and Meghan from the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa.
  5. Gymnastics: What’s a book that had so many twists and turns it left your head spinning? (in a good way)                                                                                                                     The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson. There are two guys in this book, one an assassin sent to kill the main character, and the other is the prince that she had jilted. The problem is you don’t know which one is which, and while I read this I kept on second guessing myself about who was who.
  6. The Controversial Judge: What’s a book you have a totally different opinion about then most other people?                                                                                                                       Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson. After reading and enjoying Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson this book just disappointed me. I had such high expectations since I heard many good things about it, and I just didn’t really like it. I mean I thought it was okay and it had its good parts, but I didn’t find it to be as good as everyone was saying it was.Beach Volleyball: What is your favorite fictional duo?                                                                Albus and Scorpius from Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I haven’t fully finished the book yet but this is definitely one of my favorite fictional duos.
  7. Weightlifting: What is the most massive book on your shelf?                                                 I have many big books but for this question I am going to say Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare.
  8. (tell us your favorite Olympic sport): What is a book that you just tore through with world record speed? Okay so my favorite Olympic sport is Volleyball. The book I have to choose for this question in A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas.
  9. Synchronized Swimming: What is a book series you kept reading, even though you didn’t have any idea why?                                                                                                                     I read the first three books in the Evermore series by Alyson Noel. I don’t know why I continued after book one. I actually have a review of the first book Evermore on my blog I’m pretty sure. So if you want you can check that out to see more of my opinions on that book.
  10. The Tortured Fan: What fictional family, group, nation, organization do you irrationally rout for no matter how many times they break your heart?                             I am going to say the AI from Iluminae.
  11. Closing Ceremony: What book had an ending that just blew your mind?                             Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard.
  12. Relay Race: Who do you tag?                                                                                                               If you want to do this tag I tag you.
